In the current VMware cluster we have 6 nodes with 4 CPU x 2.699 ghz with 512G memory. we are planning to add a new node with 2 CPU x 2.599 GHZ with 512G memory. Will there be any issues if we add the New Node configuration?

I'm installing vCloud Director for testing but I've only one ESX host...
So all components are on one ESX host and so I've the problem to prepare the ESX host for vCloud, because I should put the host into maintence mode.
I installed the agent manually on the host but this don't help.
Is there a solution for me or do I need definitely a second host?

At this moment I have 2 vSphere 5.5 U3 hosts (Essentials Plus) connected to a HP P2000 MSA G3 SAN with SAS cables.
DPack gives us following result > Throughput : 55 MB/s ; Max IOPS : 1300 Average IOPS : 1000 - 1100 IOPS.
I have about 8 VM's (3 * AD, 2 * RDS 2008R2 , SharePoint Services 3.0, Exchange 2010,File & Printserver) . SQL Server is also needed for the future.
Bruto capacity at this moment is 7.2 TB (12 * 600 GB 10k SAS disks) , Netto capacity is 3.6 TB (Have 3 RAID-5 LUN's with 3 disks and one spare ).
I am looking at the following storage solutions for entry level storage connected by 2 x 1Gb Switches (iSCSI)
- EMC VNXe 3200 (14 * 600 GB SAS 10k/15k disks)
- Nimble CS210 (8TB raw capacity , 6TB netto capacity)

I performed a clean install of ESXi 6 with provided HP image (ESXi-6.0.0-2494585-HP-600.9.1.39-Mar2015).
Access to and from datastores over network through vSphere Client (6.0.0-2502222) is very slow - ~10 Mbps ( there are several hundreds under ESXi 5.5)
I'm suspecting that ESXi 6 limits CPU resources used by host system to 230 MHz.
I can't edit "System Resource Reservation" parameters (contrary to ESXi 5.5, where I can edit them and switch to Simple or Advanced view).
I am not sure if this corresponded to the fusion 8.02 upgrade, but I everytime I try to get a console on of my Air VMs I get something to the affect of MKS session not authenticated. I double click on my vcloud air account in Fusion to refresh and I assume authenticate in the background, but same issues. Anyone else have issue? Getting consoles seem to a pain for me, but I seem to have settled on doing it with Firefox in Windows using the Popout console in the Director. But Fusion seemed a much easier way to do it, and I can't figure out why it stopped working.

I've upgraded to El Capitan and when I login with the VMware all I get is a black screen. I updated my software to 3.5.2, but I'm still getting the error. How can I fix?

If you're running Fedora 22 with the latest kernel, and WS11 needs to recompile kernel modules (as happened to me) but invariably fails, you can fix this easily by checking the log file, running the make command that failed, identifying the source/header file responsible for the compile error, and provide the missing argument needed (the reported error). Then replace the vmware source tar with a modified tar (containing the patched file) and you're good to go.

Customer had a power event - all servers are now back up and running, but the cluster summary message (and the little alert triangle) are still showing up. There are no alarms (that I can find) to clear - how do we make this message go away?

I have a vm that is using a non persistent vmdk so every time it shuts down it does not change the vmdk. I also want to start it up when its already booted to cut down on the time that is needed to bring up the vm.
I read that in vmware 4 there was a way to tell the system to resume from a suspend every time you boot, but I don't see that option in esxi. I can modify the vmx file every time before I boot up the machine and just change the checkpoint.vmState to a vmss suspend file I have, but esxi deletes the file after it boots up. Is there a way to have it not delete the file? I could then just modify the vmx before I boot the machine.
I have tried:
Setting the vmss file as read only
Adding resume.repeatable = "true" to the config, but that did nothing.
Creating a link to the file "ln -s" thinking that it would delete the symbolic link, but not the original, but I was wrong and it deleted the link and the original.
I was going to try chattr +i to prevent root from deleting it, but chattr is not in the esxi system.
I'm using 6.0.3 and if I export a package and then try and import it on another 6.0.3 server, or the same server for that matter, it just says "Unable to extract package from raw data". Has anyone seen this happen before? It is happening on newly deployed vRO appliances...
I can't even do it with an empty package.

Using VMware ESXi ver 5.5.0 Build 1331820
I need to edit some VMs. I can log in using vSphere Client 5.5 but the VMs are ver10 or higher.
The VMhost was rebooted today and where the vSphere web client was also rebooted.
When I click on vSphere Web Client I get this in my browser:
https://localhost:9443/vsphere-client/#
If I change to https://x.x.x.x:9443/vsphere-client/# the ip of the HOST I get nothing.

After I have installed OSX El Capitan v. 10.11.1., when I try to open my virtual machine (Windows 8) I read this message :

Hello to all community members, this is my first post and I really need your help.. I've upgrated my licence from fusion7 to fusion 8 to have a complete support for El Capitan and Windows 10 because I both use it for business.
I bought a Windows 10 PRO licence with USB 3.0 pen drive included, directly from Microsoft on-line store.
When I try create a new virtual machine with the appropriate Fusion tool , the wizard doesn't recognize the usb drive as a disk image even if the IMac already recognize the device.
It seems that the VirtualMachine creation tool only works with .iso disk images, how can I install my regular version of Windows 10 Pro with USB pen drive?

I bought a MacBook Air back in 2011, with the latest version of Fusion. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, and have never had any problems with any of it. Lately, some newer apps won't run on the OS, so I'm considering upgrading to either Yosemite or El Capitan. I'm concerned about making my system unstable, and some of the things I'm reading on the blogs about El Capitan and Version 8.0 don't increase my confidence.
I have OS X 10.6.8 and Fusion 3.1.3. The MacBook Air has the 2.13 GhZ Intel Core Duo processor and 4 GB of RAM. Can anyone give me some advice regarding the stability of various version upgrades for both the OS and Fusion? Also, are there any problems associated with upgrading the Fusion version with Windows 7? TIA
