Hi!
I have a serious issue since two days back. Two days ago I could use ssh to connect to my ESXi host. I use this for copying servers among other things.
Now if I try to access the host using SSH all I get is "Cannot connect: Wrong password" in my ssh client. I have stopped and started the ssh service but same result. I have tried with a different account that also has ssh access but same result.
When I tried to log on to the server using the ESXi Shell and logging in with the root account I get the same error. Now the strange thing is that if I log in using the vSpehere Client all works just fine. Same thing if I connect to the server using vSpehere PowerCLI.
So it is only ssh and the ESXi Shell that are blocked. Does anyone have any idé on how to solve this? I have tried this Root account of vCenter Server Appliance 5.5 and 6.0 is locked (2069041) | VMware KB but I can't even get into the GRUP bootloader. It is never displayed.
